This video discusses and describes health as being made up of four dimensions: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Physical health is the easiest to understand as it refers to the proper functioning of one's body, and to having good energy, while mental health hints at an individual's ability to maintain a positive attitude, to stay focused, and have a sense of purpose. Emotional health depends on our balance, poise, and resilience, features that give us the strength to deal with everything life throws our way. But, the most desired of all is spiritual health, which is established by our ability to care for others, and our willingness to selflessly make a difference in other people’s lives.
When I speak about health I like to consider it in all of its aspects, as every one of them influences our lives in some way. In this video we will work on discovering the benefits of being healthy on all levels, as well as gain a better understanding of the negative conditions each dimension brings. Through examples of past experiences, we will identify how each health realm impacts our lives, and how their development defines us as individuals.
