How Jiu jitsu can really help ADD!

Today, I'm sitting with my buddy Sean a firefighter and Jiu-jitsu student. Sean like a lot of adults suffers from ADD, which is a disorder that can make it hard to focus. 

He found that strenuous workout can, the challenge of winning a fight and the need to stay alert during practice really helps him calm down and his words "refocus his brain". 

Obviously, that isn't scientifically correct, but it still helps communicate a valuable point about finding way to cope with issues. 

Now we all know Jiu-jitsu isn't going to cure Sean's ADD, but it provides an outlet and a healthy coping mechanism so that he can continue to be successful in his day to day life.
