NEW HAVEN, CT (WFSB) - More than 50 people, including two celebrities and a lawyer from Connecticut, face charges for their suspected involvement in a college bribery scheme.,Investigators said more than 30 wealthy parents, including actors Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, Connecticut lawyer Gordon Caplan, and nine coaches were involved.,Among those coaches was a former soccer coach at Yale.,Investigators said Singer mailed former Yale soccer coach Rudy Meredith a check for $400,000.,According to court documents, Singer would take "Yale applicant 1's art portfolio" then "'revise' the materials to 'soccer.'"
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Local, state and federal investigators said they broke up a drug trafficking organization and arrested 16 people.,Law enforcement officials said the suspects moved those drugs through a troubled bar, called the Happy Place Sports Bar, on which WFTV News has done several stories.,Officials with the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said the16 suspects were part of a robust drug organization.,Investigators said the group was moving one to two kilos of heroin and cocaine a week through Orange County.,Investigators said the organization is connected to that murder and the other issues that were happening at the bar and all over Orange County.
The little girl hasn’t been identified.,But tonight in Hacienda Heights a grieving community called the little girl family.,They wanted to remember this little girl, who was found partially inside a duffel bag, dumped near the Skyline Trail at Colima Road and Hacienda Boulevard Tuesday morning.,“When things like this happen, we need to come together and be a voice for this little girl, especially since she doesn’t have a family, I think it’s important that she’s everybody’s child,” says Contreras.,That this little girl stuffed in a suitcase-like bag, was just devastating to me,” says LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn.
- The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is investigating what is being desribed as a road rage incident that occurred on Wednesday morning, near Walt Disney World.,Nine people were arrested in front of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, deputies say.,The victim says a van filled with several people pulled up next to him on Interstate 4 and started yelling at him.,Deputies say the group hopped out of the van and surrounded the victim's car, as one of the suspect pulled out a gun.,The Orange County Sheriff's Office received the initial call and assisted the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

At about 11:50 p.m., Los Angeles police responded to an apartment complex at 13843 Oxnard St. after a man called 911 to report he had just come home to find the bodies of his 40-year-old wife and 13-year-old son.,The mother and son were likely targeted, police said, and both suffered some kind of deadly trauma.,Police told CBS2 they are investigating the case as a double-homicide.,Police were tight-lipped regarding whether he was a suspect in the case.

ORANGE (CBSLA) – An oil leak may have been responsible for a three-alarm blaze which tore through a large commercial plant which manufactures aircraft parts in the city of Orange overnight Tuesday.,(Southern Counties News)
The blaze was reported at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday at a warehouse belonging to Quality Aluminum Forge in the 800 block of North Cypress Street.,Orange Fire Department crews arrived to find the fire raging, immediately upgraded the blaze to three alarms and took a defensive position.,There were employees working inside the building at the time the fire broke out, but they all got out safe and there were no injuries, the fire department said.,Employees told officials that an oil leak is likely what started the blaze.
