Branin Natatorium in Stark County after earning all-Ohio honors.,DiBetta stopped the clock in 1:03.45, eclipsing her own school mark and joining Michael Eaton as the only swimmers in school history to garner runner-up finishes at the state meet.,DiBetta entered the final seeded fifth after clocking a time of 1:03.59 in Thursday’s prelims.,DiBetta prepped for the breaststroke final by joining fellow freshmen Brenna Planey, Kylie McKeegan and Olivia Moyer in the medley relay ‘B’ final.

BOWLING GREEN — Thanks to a seventh-place finish at the district diving meet at Bowling Green State University on Wednesday, Defiance’s Addison Fleischman earned her second consecutive berth in the Division II state diving championships.,Fleischman put up a total score of 350.35 to earn her spot in the state tournament.,Meanwhile, Napoleon’s Audrey Seemann earned her third straight state berth with a district runner-up score of 399.20 and Wildcat teammate Britney Meienberg was fourth with 385.70 for a fourth straight state trip, believed to be a school record.,Addison Heitman rounded out the Napoleon girls’ state contingent with a ninth-place effort at districts to clinch a state spot.,Joining Fleischman and the Napoleon divers at state are Bryan’s Taylor Peters (third place), Wauseon’s Kennedy Nation (10th) and Tinora freshman Lauren Melia, who finished sixth to earn the first state diving berth in school history for the Rams.

NEW YORK CITY — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up a pair of meets across the country on Saturday.,At the historic New York City Armory, both the men's and women's teams finished in sixth place overall.,On the women's side, OU saw freshman Haley Herberg finish as runner-up with a time of 9:24.53, putting her sixth in the Sooners' all-time top-10 3K marks.,Sophomore Dai'lyn Merriweather ran an indoor personal-best 55.52 to earn fifth place, while freshman Kennedy Blackmon finished eighth at 55.96 in her collegiate 400-meter debut.,Earlier in the weekend, freshman Kristo Simulask took second place in the heptathlon, recording the third-best score on OU's all-time top-10 performance list at 5.506 points.

NORMAN – Oklahoma guard Taylor Robertson was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season, the league office announced on Wednesday.,Robertson knocked down 11 3-pointers in two games last week, posting a .550 clip (11-of-20) from 3-point range.,Robertson finished with 23 points in OU’s game against the top-ranked Huskies, the most points scored by an individual player against UConn this season.,Robertson is the first Sooner to win Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors four times before the start of conference play.,Oklahoma has won 11 Big 12 Freshman of the Week awards over the last two seasons.
