Fans were excited to see DeJong, whose Illinois roots also include a successful stint at Illinois State.,He isn't afraid to say how he celebrates each home run that DeJong hits.,On Monday at the Decatur Hotel and Conference Center, Williamson wore a red shirt with white block letters on the front reading "Illinois State baseball" to the annual Decatur Cardinals Caravan stop.,DeJong signed a six-year contract extension in March 2018 and played in 115 games last season with 19 home runs and 68 RBIs after missing time with an injury.,Illinois State was an important step in DeJong's journey to a middle-of-the order bat on the Cardinals.

ATLANTA - Not one of the 18 commonly acknowledged Los Angeles Rams fan or booster clubs is anywhere near Georgia, but Rams fans will still be welcomed by local bars when they play the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl Feb. 3 at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.,Between these extra Rams-friendly spots and the bevy of Super Bowl 53 watch parties scheduled for fans of either team (and fans of Super Bowl mayhem in general), Rams fans are covered.,With a solid crowd of Rams fans to view the last win, they'll be packed with Rams fans on Super Bowl Sunday.,A really nice aspect of the bar: It's 32 miles outside of Atlanta in Duluth, which is a little easier to reach than some of the downtown spots with an extra couple hundred thousand people in town Super Bowl weekend.,With its "first come first served" motto that allows whoever sits there first to tune into the NFL game of their choice on any television in the place, Industry Tavern knows it's got a burgeoning crowd of Rams fans in its current mix.

That number might sound unimpressive, but consider: Investments in index funds and ETFs have outpaced inflow into actively managed funds in recent years, according to Charles Schwab (SCHW), with Bogle's Vanguard Institutional Index Fund — now $168.22 billion — leading the tidal change.,"Investors have withdrawn $500 billion from actively managed funds (including ETFs) and put $600 billion into index funds over the past five years," Bogle told IBD.,The next year Bogle, influenced greatly by American economists Eugene Fama and Burton Malkiel, both champions of long-term investing, founded the Vanguard 500 Index Fund, the nation's first index mutual fund.,Mark Hebner, president of Irvine, Calif.-based wealth-management firm Index Fund Advisors, references the long run that Bogle's "The Little Book of Common Sense Investing" has enjoyed as the No. 1 investing book on Amazon.com and says the index king's brilliance stems from the simple fact that "markets are efficient.",Bottom line, Bogle believes that index funds will become more popular than actively managed products.
